We find Phil Foden to be one of the most exciting players in the England Squad. He is just 23 years old, but he can already be considered one of the best players in the world. He has been hailed as a generational talent. He has spent his entire professional career with the current premier league champions, Manchester City, and won some of football’s highest achievements. These include winning a Champions League, five premier league titles, multiple FA cups, and multiple league cups. Foden has not been a passenger in these wins, however. He is an important part of Manchester City’s success. During City’s historic treble last season, Foden scored 14 goals and assisted 7 more in 30 Premier League appearances. He has an electric play style that combines many traits a modern footballer needs, such as clinical finishing, excellent vision, accurate crosses, rapid pace, and skillful dribbling. Foden has yet to truly make his mark on the England squad, only scoring 4 goals in 33 appearances. He was also relatively quiet during England’s Euro 2024 qualifying run, only registering 2 assists in his 7 matches. However, we predict Phil Foden’s natural talent will lead him to play a major role in the upcoming tournament and be an extremely valuable asset to the English National Team.
