James Maddison
Attacking Midfielder
James Maddison does not have much experience playing for his country, but his recent form when playing for his club has made him a shoo-in for the Euro 2024 tournament. He started his Premier League career by playing five seasons at Leicester City. During this time, he performed well but not well enough to earn regular playing time for the national team. After Leicester City was relegated at the end of the 2022/2023 season, he was picked up by Tottenham Hotspur FC for a respectable £40 million. He immediately showed his class at Tottenham, scoring and assisting multiple times while co-captaining the team to ten consecutive undefeated matches. Unfortunately, he picked up an ankle injury that sidelined him for two months and caused him to miss the first few Euro qualifiers. Since then, he has made 3 appearances for England but has been unable to register a goal or assist. This has not shaken our faith in his abilities to perform at this highest level of international play. Maddison brings an exciting flair to the England team, a flair that makes watching him play a thoroughly enjoyable experience. He is able to split defenses with his passing, is a very efficient dribbler, and shoots with finesse. We would not be surprised if the 2024 Euros is where James Maddison finally makes his mark on the English National Team.
